Our Bench

Our Design Process

Each year group was allocated an activity based on the book.

Year One

Year One designed mud huts based on those they saw in the book. You can see the design process below. Three of our designs are displayed on the bench.

Year Two

Year Two looked at the imagery in the book. They drew some of the trees and their favourite images of Lila. You can see the design process below.

Year Three

Year Three painted the cattle with their watercolour skills. You can see our design process below.

Year Four

Using their new skill painting like Lowry, Year Four drew images of the Kenyan villagers. You can see our design process Many of our designs are displayed on our bench.

Year Five

Year Five designed the background for the bench. You can see some of our designs below.

Year Six

Year Six did the same as Year Five and also helped to paint the designs onto the bench.
